Experience & Qualifications
The problems facing Jackson County won't be solved by good intentions alone. They take someone who's actually managed budgets, run operations, and answered for results. That's the career I've had.
More than thirty years in manufacturing and operations
I started in the printing industry as a press operator and worked my way up to running plants. Along the way I handled production management, budgeting and cost control, quality systems, capital decisions, and the day-to-day job of developing the people on my teams. Manufacturing doesn't let you fake it: the schedule gets met, the budget holds, the equipment stays running, or you answer for why it didn't. Those are exactly the disciplines effective government needs.
Sixteen years as a small business owner
I founded On Target Ammunition more than sixteen years ago and still run it today. Owning a business means financial discipline, long-range planning, payroll that comes due no matter what, and a customer base that holds you accountable every day. It's the clearest possible training for protecting taxpayer dollars, because in a business, every expense has to justify itself.
Service to law enforcement
Through the business I've worked with hundreds of law enforcement agencies across the country. That work has given me real insight into what public safety professionals are up against and a lasting respect for the job they do.
LSR-7 School Board
As a board member of one of Missouri's largest school districts, I've worked on public budgeting, long-range facility planning, policy, and community engagement. School board service is a constant balancing act among parents, students, teachers, and taxpayers, and it's taught me a great deal about governing in public, on a public budget.
Lee's Summit Board of Aeronautical Commissioners
This role adds hands-on experience with public oversight, infrastructure planning, and budgeting for an asset that supports our local economy.
Why it matters
Property assessments, infrastructure, economic development, public safety, accountability — these are real management problems, and they reward people who understand how organizations and budgets actually work. I'm not asking for your vote because I think the county needs another politician. I'm asking because I think it needs experienced problem-solvers, and that's what I've been my entire career.
I'd be honored to earn your trust, your support, and your vote.
Proven leadership. Practical results.
